This Privacy Policy describes how JustTalkTranslate ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our app and services at justtalktranslate.com.

1. Information we process

• The current iOS app transcribes microphone audio and recognizes text in images on your device. It does not upload microphone recordings or photos to us.
• When an on-device translation engine cannot serve a language pair, the app may send the phrase text and selected language codes to our service for real-time translation, unless you enable On-device only.
• Operational error logs used to keep the service reliable; we do not intentionally log translation request content.

2. How we use information

• Provide speech transcription and translation features.
• Detect language/speaker context to improve turn handling.
• Monitor reliability, performance, and abuse prevention.

3. AI processing

On-device translations are processed by Apple frameworks. Text sent for cloud fallback is processed using Cloudflare Workers AI.

4. Data retention

Cloud fallback text is used to service the translation request and is not stored after the response is returned. The app's saved phrases, history, audio, and images remain on your device.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process data solely to operate platform infrastructure and AI inference.

6. Your choices

• You can keep all translation on your device by enabling On-device only in Settings.
• You can stop using voice or camera features at any time by not granting their permissions.
• You can discontinue use of the app at any time.
